Feeling the Love

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ سَيَجْعَلُ لَهُمُ الرَّحْمَٰنُ وُدًّا

"Surely those who believe and do good deeds, God will bestow love between them" 

-Chapter Maryam (Mary), verse 96

Sometimes we run into people who we have never met before, but for some reason, we are drawn to them and feel like we have known them forever. Whether it be in a study circle, conference, religious workshop or the likes, something makes us love them for who they are. This is no coincidence; rather this is divine decree from Allah(swt) that He surely will put love between those who do righteous deeds. So the next time this happens to you, remember this verse. Although you never knew each other before, know that Allah is the one who united your hearts together on His path, and for that you can feel the love.
